Mills & Industrial Architecture - Gallery 1

This is a collection of recent work of collagraphs inspired by the textile mills industrial architecture from the woollen industry in my home city of Bradford. Some of the textile mills have been renovated for modern industrial or office use, some converted into apartment blocks and others are in a state of dereliction. The mills formed part of a huge complex of buildings and are examples of grand architecture. Most of the large mills were designed by local architects and were hugely influenced by Italian architecture and the style of the buildings is Victorian Italianate. I am fascinated by the buildings because they are such enormous, grand and imposing buildings with beautiful features and details.
